Staff Profile:

I am a professor of Luso-Brazilian and Afro-Latin-American Studies whose special area of research is publication is the Yoruba Atlantic Diaspora within which I study the process of identity construction in Latin-American and Caribbean societies such as Brazil, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, Colomnbia, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo and Venezuela. Within the past 30 years, I have been deeply involved in cultural discourse accross the Atlantic, teaching, researching and presenting Keynotes, seminars and conference papers in countries spread across the globe from Argentina to Canada, from Bahia to Berlin, from Calavi to Caracas, etc.
